Khoi Nguyen is a postdoctoral university assistant (Universitätsassistent) in applied linguistics at the University of Vienna. Prior to that, he was a Research Associate at the University of Manchester, where he also completed his PhD in linguistics. His work explores a practice-based approach to heritage language use in a variety of contexts, including social spaces, commercial imagery and writing and social media. His current research focuses on the intersection of multimodal heritage language practices and religious practice, as well as language policy in religious settings.
